For centuries, composers in awe of the organ’s majesty have written masterpieces which have
remained in the repertoire to this day. Often overlooked, however, are the masterpieces being
written today that will become the classics of the years to come. In our penultimate program of the
series, Cathy Meyer, Minister of Music and Organist at South Church (UCC) in Andover, MA, will
present works by contemporary and living composers as we celebrate the present and future of our
organ.
Join us for a 40 minute family-friendly program of spooky Halloween music & fantastic light show!
Costumes and/or pajamas are encouraged.

Night Song on October 13th will be enhanced by the participation of our friend and colleague Cathy Meyer, a sound healing practitioner and church musician in the Boston area. This presents a unique opportunity for you to experience Night Song in person, and to invite friends who have an interest in practices such as meditation and yoga to gain insight on the transformative power of resonance.
Cathy Meyer will present an organ recital as part of the Old West Organ Society’s Summer Series. Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted in support of the society.
Cathy will join three other female organists on The Great Organ at Methuen Memorial Music Hall. This event is not to be missed!
This is the first of four Advent Recitals on the beautiful Ortloff Op 3 organ! Concerts begin at 6PM and will each include one Advent hymn.
Cathy will perform works by Dietrich Buxtehude, J.S. Bach, Scott Joplin, and Calvin Fuller on the midday recital series at Adolphus Busch Hall. This recital series is presented in association with The Harvard Art Museums and The Memorial Church of Harvard University.

Hear The Sounds of Creation as inspired by the installed works of art at Faith Lutheran Church as they celebrate the installation of their new pipe organ! This program will feature works by Calvin Fuller, Johann Krebs, J.S. Bach, Frederick Magle, Edward Elgar, and Dan Locklair. Free admission; donations will be taken for the Organ Fund.
O Come, All Ye Faithful! All are welcome to join the South Church Music Ministry in a Christmas Pops Sing-a-long with intergenerational choirs, brass quintet, timpani and organ. Get in the holiday spirit early! Suggested donation $20/adults, $5/students.
Reiki 1: This course is for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of Reiki. In our time together, you will learn the history and principles of Reiki, explore the benefits and ethics of practicing Reiki, learn to scan the human energy field and chakras (energy centers) for balance and vitality, use various hand positions to bring comfort and calm to yourself and others, discuss giving Reiki to pets and plants, learn how to customize treatments, and how to care for yourself in the process. You will receive a mini-Reiki session and receive two attunements that will empower you as an effective Reiki healer. There will also be opportunity to work with other students in the class to develop intuitive abilities and healing skills while building your own network of Reiki practitioners. $125.
Handbell Choirs from Andover and North Andover will conclude their day of ringing with a short concert that will showcase pieces from each ensemble plus two pieces to be rung by all participating groups. Free admission. All are welcome!
